I’m Katie, in case you don’t know.
I’m 32 years old and living a very interesting life…
*tries to say convincingly*
Actually, I don’t particularly think I do, but I do have a few unique experiences in my life. And because of that, many friends and acquaintances have convinced me that it may be a little true.
While I’m only 32, I’ve worked in death care aka the funeral industry for the last 15 years. Not only is it weird to stick with a particular industry you chose before you could even vote, but the funeral industry?! It’s true.
I really stuck with it, you could say. So, like the title references, What Am I Doing Here?
Well I thought people might be dying to hear from me… *ba-dum-tss*
Que allllllllllllll the mortician jokes I’ve heard in my life. You’re welcome to drop yours in the comments. Maybe there will be a new one for me to chuckle over.
Anyway– I’ve learned so much along this life/career journey. I’ve come to know myself so well that I’ve accepted that I have other passions in life besides funeral service. Some of them being content creating, digital design, DIY projects, marketing, pickleball…
and making funny videos on Tik Tok. Just to name a few!
So that’s why I’m really here. I’m expanding my knowledge and skills in reference to content creation. What better way than to start a blog that I can share with people who may be interested in my life? I hope to share all kinds of things with you here from my career in the funeral industry to moving and living in Houston all by myself fresh out of college.
I think the point here is to leave some lingering details. I’ll be sure to share more in the posts ahead!
